4Memphis and Memphis Fashion Design Network honor the movers and makers who embody and create Memphis fashion. From designers to proprietors, early career to storied icons, this collection of style setters is dressing Memphis, beautifully. Our fashion shoot location this month is the former home of Dr. George Nichopoulos which has been restored to its original 1970s charm. The Nichopoulos family maintained the ownership of the home, and the design was influenced by the friendship of Elvis and Dr. Nick, until Dr. Nichopoulos’ death. Elvis financed the home for his friend and was instrumental in designing the house including the racquetball court.
